Graduate Teaching Assistant Leader
Fall, 2004

The GTA Leader position was created to facilitate communication for the Introduction to Film class of 450 students, the professor and six GTAs. I acted as a liaison between the instructor and GTAs, coordinating the schedule of test review and content between the discussion sections and the lecture. Each GTA was responsible for two discussion sections that met during the week following the lecture. I provided GTAs with computer printouts of student scores following tests; coordinated the gathering of materials to administer tests, coordinated the preparation of the test and duplication of test; fielded questions of judgment calls on scoring of tests, papers, and acted as a general sounding board for GTA concerns. I prepared lectures and gave them when the instructor was gone. I was responsible for providing films for lectures and discussion sections.
