The shoe has been sitting on a curb in the parking lot of the gym, perfectly placed, for two weeks. I often wonder what the story is behind shoes that have been left behind by their owners. Usually they are lying by the side or the road or tied by their laces and tossed over a high wire. This one seems to have been meticulously placed.
