Icepick

Audio review is back up, with proper file format and hopefully working, although one critic said my delivery is like "an icepick to the forehead." Baby steps.

Joke of the day - on my way out the door at o dark thirty.

The Flat Earth

The World is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman has came to my attention from two sources during the last six months, so I decided to read it. A weighty tome, I was hesitant to tackle it. Surprisingly, I haven't been able to stop reading it. Well written and incisive. Friedman provides an overview of the economics of the global digital village and the impact on the future.

New Moon

A film review of THE WORLD is posted in audio form. Something new. I've been thinking about it for several months and gave it a shot this afternoon. It's rough and the second take. Will probably be revised in the next few days. (ed. note: 6/27/06 temporarily unavailable while tinkering - printed review available.)

Transitions

I scanned through some footage I shot last summer and pulled off two still frames of clouds.

Unrelated:

Two days ago, I was in Kansas City walking through a mall. I saw a store across the concourse that had a red, yellow and white symmetrical pattern motif. A shopkeeper in the store caught my eye and smiled. She was wearing a costume of exactly the same pattern as the store colors. For a split second, she became 2-D and blended into the background. Eerie. It was as if I were seeing an automaton marketing products. Probably had to be there.

666 - Back to regular programming

Listening to: Barry McGuire's Eve of Destruction.

A friend sent me the audio file. Said Dylan played harmonica on the track.

June

The semiweekly thunderstorm at 5:00 am came through this morning.
