March 2008

03-30-08

Spent yesteday waiting in lines - getting an assessment of the latest variation of the bronchial/head virus. The day started out sunny and warm, then became cold, windy and rainy. Spent half the time reading, the other half watching people.

Resource books for film production management

Resource books I've been using for film production management this semester include Film Production Management 101, The Guerilla Filmmakers Movie Blueprint, The Insider's Guide to Independent Film Distribution and Film Scheduling.

Spent the day waiting in lines - getting an assessment of the latest variation of the bronchial/head thing. The day started out sunny and warm, then became cold, windy and rainy.

Kind words

Tiny bits of flower blossoms blow across my vision while waiting at the light.

Pollen

A fine dusting of pollen on everything, including cars.  Flowers in full bloom.  Trees have blossomed and are turning greeen.

Grand weather

Moving from my paper journal to the computer. Should help with focus...or something.

As a kid, my dad took a million pictures all the time of the family.  Every outing to a restaurant might warrant a shot or two - and there were a lot of trips to the restaurant – learned to play pinball when I was 3 or 4 in a restaurant.  I’d get fidgety and they’d get me a chair and a handful of coins and I would be happy as a lark while I played pinball.  I lived for the sound of the pop, signalling a match.

There was occasional grousing on the part of the family at the taking of snapshots.  We still snap a photo here and there at family gatherings - more candid shots than posed.

Wind and a bumblebee

The wind is blowing up a storm. The dog stepped on a bumblebee and the cat threw up under the bed. Other than that, it's a fine day.

Spring break

The glorious days of spring break. Filming, grading papers and class prep. Challenging in a good way and relaxing at the same time.
